These 40 minute classes are taught by Jenna Tasker and take place with a parent/caregiver and their child.
NOTE: There is no minimum age for the infant class.
In these classes, the goal is not to make master musicians. Instead, we aim to bathe children in a variety of music in order to maximize their potential and deepen their enjoyment of music throughout life.
Why Music for Young Children?
Music development begins before birth and the first few months and years of a child's life are vital in maximizing the child's musical potential. According to Edwin E. Gordon, a child's musical potential "is directly and greatly influenced by the music exposure, experience, and encouragement she receives from birth through age 9."
